Meet the board

The Condor's board are responsible for the organisation and finances of the club, as well as developing and growing the club's membership and reputation. Board members are elected annually at the club's AGM. All Condors members are welcome to stand for a position on the board. New board roles are added periodically as the club grows. Each board member has different responsibilities see below for more details about the roles and for more info about the current board members.

Cheryl Reid

President

The club president has overall responsibility for the club and acts as a “figurehead”. They will be involved in local and national cycling developments and have final vote on decisions made within the club.

Club Secretary

The Secretary has overall administrative responsibility, including memberships, governing body affiliation and communication. They will also arrange any meeting within the club, such as AGM.

Treasurer

The finances of the club are managed and forecasted by the treasurer. They are lead sign off for any accounts, payments or subscription fees. Each year, the treasurer should present the clubs finances at AGM and arrange audit as necessary.

This role helps to support, develop and encourage ride leaders, the backbone of our club.

Race Secretary

The Condors have a big race team and arrange events through British Cycling. The race secretaries are responsible for ensuring these are planned and communicated as well as having final say on entrants if events are oversubscribed.

Women’s Officer

This role ensures the equal access as well as women specific access to cycling within the club. The Condors are very proud pioneer women’s specific rides and access to competition.

Training & Development Officer

This important role is focussed on the creation and implementation of rider training programmes within the club throughout the year across multiple disciplines.

Kit Officer

It is the Kit persons role to ensure the famous “Pink and Black” is available for riders and has sufficient coverage for both club and our generous sponsors.

Social Secretary

Helps organise our legendary nights out on the Cowley Road and day trips for the club!

Time Trial Secretary

This role is responsible for planning and delivering club time trials in accordance with CTT rules.

Chris Jones

ORRL Race Lead

Leads on organising and running the Condor Oxfordshire Road Race League (ORRL) race; represents the club at ORRL meetings, and works closely with British Cycling and all local authorities in coordinating and staging the event.

Social Media Lead

Brings all our good news to the masses! Supports the club in maintaining its social media output through facebook, twitter and instagram. Helps to collate content for our monthly newsflash.
